Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Chocolate Labs Apps LLC (“Chocolate Labs Apps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the LACTIC mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — such as your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, and sex, used to create and secure your account.
- Health information you or your clinic provide — such as lab results, body composition, nutrition logs, fitness and recovery data, supplements and medications, screening history, messages, and uploaded documents.
- Connected device data — if you choose to connect a wearable or other service (for example, Apple Health, Oura, WHOOP, or Strava), we collect the data you authorize, such as sleep, heart rate, activity, and recovery metrics.
- Usage and device information — basic technical information needed to operate and improve the Service.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To display your health information to you and, where applicable, to your care team.
- To secure your account and protect against fraud or misuse.
- To communicate with you about the Service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With your care team / clinic, as part of providing the Service to you.
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, secure cloud hosting), under agreements that require them to protect your information.
- When you direct us to, such as connecting a third-party device or service.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
4. Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you choose to connect Apple Health, the Service reads only the categories you approve in iOS (such as sleep, activity, heart, and mobility metrics) and uses that data solely to display it to you and, where applicable, to your care team as part of the Service. Data obtained from HealthKit is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties except as needed to provide the Service (for example, secure cloud hosting) or as you direct. You can revoke the app’s Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and you can disconnect Apple Health inside the app.
5. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls that limit data to your own account and your authorized care team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices, access, and account deletion
- You may access and update much of your information directly in the app.
- You may disconnect a linked device or service at any time.
- You may delete your account from within the app (Today → Privacy & Data Sharing → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your login and your personal data from the Service. If you are or were a patient of a clinic using the Service, portions of your record that make up the clinic’s legal medical record (for example, signed encounter notes) are retained by the clinic as required by law even after your account is deleted.
- You may also request deletion or a copy of your data by contacting us at the address below.
7. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
